It was very nice location. The staff very helpful and polite. Just a shame was quite noisy at times with people moving about at silly times. Ie creaky floor boards . Other than that very nice.

No hot water.Tepid luke warm water over entire 2 night stay. Not able to shower. Crude & basic wash facilities with a plastic rickety toilet seat. Get rid of those awful curtains.Never ever worth the £65/night! Holes in the bedding, fitted sheet.

This accommodation is well located near the city centre and the River Severn. It is very reasonably priced and whilst the hotel is a bit dated and in need of some TLC it is perfectly serviceable for a short, cheap stay.

I’ve read some not so good reviews from this hotel , but as I have to try to keep to a limit this was the only one that came into my budget … Yes some of the bedroom furniture could do with renewing , but the room I had was very spacious , it had a wardrobe and table so had I booked for a couple of days there was somewhere I could work … the bed was comfortable . Bathroom had a bath and shower so that’s always a plus . Overall I was happy with the stay , the landlord couldn’t have been friendlier , location is great for the centre of Worcester . The hotel don’t do meals but if you turn left after leaving the hotel and follow the road you will come to a number of restaurants and also a Weatherspoons which is always a bonus … So don’t be put off by the negative reviews and give this hotel a try … The one thing I would suggest are half window Nets or coils so curtains can be opened while also allowing some privacy

I'll be honest it's an old building and at first it might seem a little rough but honestly it's all good and it's cheap, Our room was decent and it was clean with all the shower gels and soaps etc.The guy who runs the place is a diamond, he bought a brand new travel cot for us when he saw our booking had a baby. The location is perfect for access to the town centre, it's a short walk from the main shopping area. You can park right next to the hotel so it's ideal for unloading and leaving your car in a safe location. My car was parked next to a Harley Davidson bike which in most areas of England would not be there the following morning, so it must be a decent area. The full English breakfast was pretty good, not enough bacon but the rest was spot on.I'll definitely go back here. The price was spot on and the bar had a good selection of beers (madri hmm)We stopped off on the way home from newquay and we found the perfect town in Worcester, I love the place, it's got loads of modern shopping, indoor mall, nice restaurants, best wetherspoons I've been in, quirky old side streets and a Tudor area like York.Cathedrals beautiful too.

After reading some negative reviews I was pleasantly surprised to have a good overnight stay here. I had a very friendly welcome from the owner. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Some furniture - bedside units- a bit tatty, but on the whole, fine. Location convenient for visit to Swan Theatre - just a short walk. Nice view of river and a good night's sleep, so thank you.

we were looking for a place to stay on Saturday night the 29th of June so that we could watch the England New Zealand ladies cricket game on a Sunday. We found this hotel to stay in on the Internet which was convenient for the cricket ground being only about 500 metres away from the cricket ground and unlike other hotels in Worcester room were not being offered at rip off prices the hotel rooms were clean and the bathrooms for a change had a bath in it plus a shower had a great night sleep mattress and pillows were brilliant and in the morning for breakfast the chap who was cooking was able to cater for my dietary needs seriously recommend this place as it’s nice and central in Worcester

Room was a single room, basic, good shower, nice decorating and just what I needed - EXCELLENT host, really nice, attentive, good full English - no fuss, no muss and achieved what I needed - and free high speed WiFi. Rooms kettle wasn’t working no matter what I tried other than that I can’t complain - I’d stay here again

I had a comfortable and pleasant one night stay in a single room with a view of the river. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Appreciated that there was tea/coffee/kettle provided in the room. Bathroom was a bit rough around the edges, and noise carried from the road, bar downstairs, and room upstairs (especially toilet flushing in middle of night) but overall great for the price. Owner was very warm and welcoming as well. Thanks!

The room was spacious and well decorated. It was warm at all times. There was some noise from outside but to be expected with the original sash windows which were clean and in good condition. The bed was fine but a little short for. My 6’2” frame. The bathroom needs replacing. The sink was cracked, the toilet cisterncover cracked, the toilet seat cheap and nasty and not attached to the toilet. The bath prevents the door from opening, and all the tiles were in poor condition. The shower was in a recess making it hard to use. The whole bathroom needs replacing, no room for a bath.A simple and cheap way to make a good first impression is to get matching wardrobe hangers - the ones in the room were random shop hangers. The approach to the room was unpleasant - piles of bedding left in the hallway, which was badly decorated. The breakfast was very cheap but should be a couple of quid more so it can include real coffee and orange juice. The breakfast area seats were indescribably uncomfortable and seemed to come out of a skip? The breakfast itself - bacon, egg, fresh tomato was excellent.

Spent one night here during a visit to Worcestershire for a friend's 60th birthday celebrations.Hotel was in a good central position, handy for the cathedral which I was attending for Sunday worship. They gave me a very spacious corner room with double-aspect views both along and across the river. The room was certainly atmospheric, complete with oak panelled ceiling, and I loved having a proper bathtub in the bathroom!Nice to have coffee/tea/biscuits provided in the room. The bed mattress was not the most comfortable I've known, but I still had a very good night's sleep.Cheap and cheerful breakfast in the morning (though a pity no fruit or yoghurt on offer).Very friendly and helpful staff, who (inter alia) allowed me to store my luggage with them for the remainder of my checkout day.Best value stay in town - can strongly recommend this establishment!

The rooms we hadstayed in have been basic but ok , bedding clean , plenty of nice white towels .Nice tea station we was desperate for a cuppa when we arrived .With an old building it’s a working process I guess the bathroom in the room we gad need this time could do with an update.Added bonus we looked out across the river Severn .The breakfast was fantastic thank you .Carole and Garry

The staff are very friendly and the full english breakfast was fab and value for money into the bargain. Our room (we stayed in room 2) had an excellent view across the the river Severn. The bedroom had recently been redecorated and the room, bed linen and towels were all clean. The ensuite is waiting for its makeover but was clean and functional. There is plenty of public parking adjacent to the Hotel which was £6 for 24 hours so very reasonable. Bearing in mind how much we paid per night this hotel offers an excellent base to explore Worcester and the surrounding area.

I went to see the band Stoneload at the Marrs Bar and couldn't get back after the gig due to no trains running at that time, so I stayed here. Perfect choice! Being near the river was good, and the room was just right for me. I enjoyed the time in my room, as they had YouTube on the telly and a bit of a view. The bed was comfy so I had a good sleep. I would definitely stay here again if Stoneload get another gig in Worcester.

As per previous visits, the proprietor was friendly, welcoming and happy to resolve any minor issues. The hotel is a little old, but the room (i had stayed in before) had been nicely decorated. It can be a bit noisy if not used to traffic as the windows are not double-glazed. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the River Severn and Cricket Club. Well worth the money and with a cooked breakfast too. The only criticism was that the bathroom could have done with being refurbished, but there were numerous signs of efforts to refurbish the hotel, such as new corridoor carpets being fitted while i was there. There is a large council run car park which isn't too expensive, and the hotel is ideally located close to the centre of Worcester whether for business or tourism. Thanks for the stay and we'll be back next timewe are travelling that way.

The Welcome we received by the Owner when we arrived was 1st Class and this remained the same during our stay. Our rooms were very large and had a fabulous view of the river. The property is listed so has a lot of history. The Owner is currently making improvements to the property. Carrying case up stairs, putting disabled badge in car when parking ran out when we were late back from wedding reception so we got 3 free hours. Room and beds very clean and comfortable. Stairs and bathroom a bit awkward for us. Hotel a faded old lady now so if you want posh not for you. If you want central, by the river, clean comfortable beds give it a fair chance. Staff could not have been kinder to a couple in their 70s with mobility problems.

We stayed in this hotel for the Worcester Victorian Market, which we visited every year and thought we would stay over night. Perfectly situated for town centre. Room was lovely and warm, bed very comfy, needs a little TLC, tea making tray and biscuit was a lovely touch. The only problem was breakfast we were told 7.30-8.30, which was a early for us been out the night before late getting back! So we didn’t make breakfast and had to purchase later in town. But on the info it says 8-9 week days )which it was) 9-10 weekend. We would have made it for that time??!!

From the first contact I made by telephone to my final departure where I got great help with getting my 3 year old car started (flat battery) everyone had been really friendly. The hotel is undergoing refit and redecorating so I wish them great success.

The views from the hotel were lovely and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and service was really quick. We also had a key to the front door, which gave us extra freedom to go out and see the city.We also had freedom to order in our own food, which was really nice. The cleanliness was absolutely amazing. However, some rooms just need a little TLC in sense of some decorating (we had two rooms and it was obvious one had just been decorated. So I think the owner is going around the rooms to start thisprocess). Otherwise, the stay was perfect.

A simple clean and affordable pub stay, rooms were a little out dated but clean and tidy. No Air con but then it's an old building so fair enough, suggestion would be a fan available to hire on extremely hot days/nights because even having windows open didn't help. Breakfast could do with an improvement, basic and tasteless but again, cheap stay. Overall good experience and friendly staff.

We were made very welcome by Indy and his staff which more than made up for the work in progress to update an old historical hotel that was also affected by flooding in February. Our room at the top had a lovely view as the hotel is beside the river Severn and you can see the cathedral nearby. Well situated near the town.

Like the other reviews say this hotel is a work in progress. I was met by the manager who was very friendly and helpful and check in was simple having done the online thing. The room was dated but clean and warm with a comfortable bed. Plenty of parking which was easy to pay using the Ringo app. A decent breakfast was supplied and the staff in the morning were efficient and courteous. Don’t expect the ritz but I wasn’t disappointed with the whole experience.

Great welcome upon arrival, staff friendly and nice. Work being done on the outside and inside of the hotel so was untidy. Room was fine for the long weekend comfy bed and clean. Could do with up dating decor and few pictures on the walls . Hall way upstairs did smell musty. Was a bit noisy from the road below but nice view of the river . Breakfast was fine hot and cooked well. Morning staff friendly. But breakfast room needs to be finished off as looked as if half way through decorating it.No private parking . Great location to get in to centre on Worcester by foot.

Bit surprised the place seemed dead when we arrived around 2200. A quick call to the number on the booking soon had the door opened. This is a basic 2 star hotel, but was spotlessly clean, but basic. The manager could not have been more helpful or nicer.11/10 for the people, 8/10 for the room (took off 2 points for the tired mattresses, hesitant hot water)

This hotel should be condemned! The rooms that the engineers had been booked in to were dirty, wallpaper peeling off with the damp, stained bathroom tiles, cracked, mouldy windows plugged up with paper- do I need to go on? On leaving they complained to reception & were not advised to cancel through booking.com as a result we have lost the money. What an absolute disgrace booking.com!

Good value with stunning views of the river and city. Friendly and helpful staff. It does need total refurbishment to bring it up to modern expectations which would cost an absolute fortune and it is debatable if they would ever see a return on the investment However, it has character and I like it the way it is.

I was looking for a hotel on a budget to celebrate our 10th anniverseryThis hotel ticked all the boxes; a nice bar, plesent room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, short walk from town centre, fantastic view over the river, Breakfast! The building looks a bit tried from the outside but i think its a diamond in the rough! In the interest of a good review there were a few flaws (easily overlookable in my opinion). It was slightly tired looking in places like the bathroom, hall carpets, single glazed windows. It is by a major road so it might not be for light sleepers even though i am and i coped. All in all i feel i got slightly better than i paid for!

Chose this place as it was good value. It isn't the ritz but overall a comfortable stay. Loved the location, ease of parking - even though Severn View doesn't have it's own parking it is next to a pay and display car park. We had a large twin room with bathroom overlooking the river. Reception is dingy and not visually welcoming but the staff are cheerful and welcoming and couldn't be more helpful. We were very sad to miss the full English breakfast as we had to be up and out by 8.15am and breakfast on the weekend is only 9am-10am so be aware. We had cereals and milk provided for our room because we asked in advance. Bed had memory foam layer in the mattress and was very comfortable. Main critics: please clean the bathroom and bedroom thoroughly and sort out the mouldy grouting round the bath. Not a good look. However, not enough to put us off we'll be back when we are racing in Worcester next year!

This is my third time staying in this hotel and over all it's a great place, some of the staff even remember me and my reason for staying which is actually fun, it's a friendly place with friendly a staff. This was my longest stay in the hotel and this is where the only complaint arrives, I stayed for two weeks and during these two weeks I had the room cleaned 2-3 times.. Which, you can imagine, isn't that great.. I even had to personally adress this with staff asking for my room to be cleaned out, it's not a big deal but given my long stay it was slowly driving me more and more insane, especially when at one point the cleaning lady caught me and my fiancée (who lives in England but was staying with me which is why I picked this as a "Young Couple") getting changed to leave, we told her we'd be gone within 5 minutes (and we were) and that we wanted my room cleaned, when we left we saw the cleaning lady sitting downstairs enjoying some coffee and she waved us off, when we came back later that day however we noticed we hadn't been served at all. Which, not gonna lie, frustrated us, very much.Over all the hotel is great! Like if it wasn't for this on thing, it would be a 5 star rating no questions asked, but the fact that we had to specifically request to have the room cleaned, that's just an annoying object that shouldn't be needed.

Comfortable, clean bedroom with TV, kettle and en-suite bathroom. Friendly staff. I had been advised by a friend in the know that whenever the river floods the hotel floods with it! Consequently they probably don't go overboard in redecorating afterwards. So if the corridors, stair carpet and wallpaper look a bit tatty, the price of £39 per night seems quite fair. I enjoyed my overnight stay.

I really enjoy staying at the Severn View Hotel and have stayed 3 times now during 2015/2016. The hotel owner is lovely and from the moment you are checking in, you are made to feel like the Severn View Hotel is your home. The rooms are more then adequate and clean, with a comfy bed, a tv, hot shower and tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits. A full English breakfast is included in the price too and is cooked deliciously. And, the hotel is a minute away from the town centre, over looks the picturesque river Severn and is close to the cricket ground and university. For the price per a night, I will definitely stay at the Severn View Hotel again and recommend to others. Thank you for the hospitality

The Hotel is an old Building But for £65.00 It was amazing. The man at reception was very polite and very welcoming. Our room was lovely and clean and Breakfast was included and it was very nice. You do have to pay for car parking. Myself and my dad really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed in a single room last sat night .I paid only £39 so my expectations were not high !The hotel is a very old building in mostly its original condition so plenty of charm and character, although some would view this as time worn .It is very tastefully decorated throughout the hotel and is clean.Location is also excellent and I had a beautiful view from room 10.Car park adjacent felt safe and reasonable rate £6 for 24 hrs.Hotel is being run by a very welcoming ,friendly and helpful young couple ,thankyou both if your are reading this.Excellent breakfast concluded and enjoyable stay!

Excellent location and cheap! Room was ready even though we turned up early. Room was quite spacious, but bathroom a little cramped. Didn't get up for breakfast due to too many Worcester hostelries visited the night before!A bit basic but well worth it for the price

Them hotel served our needs ... close to the Arena (wheelchair basketball event.) Value for money. Breakfast looked great (although we chose a more modest meal.) The person I was travelling with has fairly severe mobility difficulties (cerebral palsy) and found the bottom of the staircase difficult to negotiate (no handrail, etc.) and he wasn't able to reach the shower (which is set back from the bath.) Staff pleasant. Severn View is 'get what you pay for'accommodation ... ie. value for money per overnight stay.

I had the pleasure of a 4 night Monday to Friday stay at this hotel. The room I stayed in was a decent size and although facing a busy road the traffic noise was not a nuisance. I only encountered one minor problem with the shower in my room which was rectified the same day reported. The breakfast provided I could not have wished for better. All in all if you are looking for reasonably priced placed to stay in Worcester you should give the Severn View serious consideration. I shall certainly stay again if visiting Worcester.

Very nice, helpful and welcoming staff. The room was clean and well equipped with a TV and Tea/Coffee facilities and en suite. The Full English breakfast was great! The cost of the stay was extremely reasonable and I would recommend staying here to anyone wanting to visit Worcester. I look forward to staying here again and would not hesitate to recommend the Severn View hotel to friends and family.

The room itself was quite acceptable, but the traffic was a noisy surprise and the building itself felt a bit scruffy inside and outAlso, beware that the hotel has no concessions with the car parks nearbyIt'll cost you at least £3.00 or thereabouts to park thereThe staff were very friendly and helpful

Although when i booked i was told it would be £29.95 but i got there i was charged £39.95. Which is a good price for the room but was a little annoying as i thought it would be £10 cheaper. Had a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

The Severn View "is what it says it is" and in the corner room I stayed in there were three large sash windows with views down the river, across the river and towards the intricate railway viaduct. I genuinely "forgot" I was not at home as the bed was lovely. VERY spacious and immaculate room with a clean bathroom. The breakfast was eaten in a really nice "bar type" setting and the coffee was lovely. Severn View sets the standard for a simple B&B and I would be most happy to stay there again as an alternative to the "Premier Inn" mega-box format.

Very handily placed hotel for the centre, staff were great - very friendly and helpful all through the stay. Room was fine, breakfast freshly cooked and tasty. Bar area (actual pub open to everyone) is really well furnished with comfortable chairs. This meant it was a bit noisy until midnight but not too much of an issue if you're out late yourself.

Just had a great time at this hotel. Can't fault staff, who were more than happy to help us out with our bedroom radiator - providing us with back up oil filled radiator.Very generous supplies for tea, coffee etc together with bathroom toiletries. This hotel is currently a work in progress project, and it is receiving a tremendous amount of hard work. Our room and bathroom were spotless; our beds were clean and comfortable and we had a restful night's sleep.View across the river Severn were lovely.Had full English breakfast and it was delicious.Bar is all new, clean and well stocked with ample choice of beers and lagers.Great location for the rest of the city- shops, restaurants and pubs

The Seven View is a nice "Local" pub with a nice friendly atmosphere. the room I had was 11 which is a small single bed room which was clean but needed some maintenance, nothing to bad but would have made the stay a little more pleasant. But given the price of the room I have no complaints. BTW great breakfasts

After reading the hotel reviews I must admit I was a little apprehensive. However although a bit tired in places the hotel was more than adequate, good location, staff very friendly, large clean room, we were on the 1st floor at the front of the building which was a little noisy due to the traffic and passengers on busses passing by could easily look into the room some nets could easily resolve this. Breakfast was fine freshly cooked, latte coffee was provided which was refilled when requested. All in all good value for money and would have no hesitation staying here again and recommending it to others its definatly not the Hilton but you can't grumble for the price after all you tend to get what you pay for.

We really enjoyed staying here. Just one night, and we were mainly out and about visiting family, but friendly atmosphere, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Bathrooms a bit of a squeeze but very clean and perfectly serviceable! Beautifully central - we could walk everywhere - and good breakfast (although an option of cereal for the children might have been nice). Reasonable rates. Would definitely stay here again. It certainly ticked all our boxes.

I've stayed in a few cheap hotels in the past and have regretted it. But the Severn View is def good value. The staff were friendly and accomodating, and allowed me to check in earlier than usual.Parts of the hotel do need a bit of visual work. But there's a huge difference between 'work needing done' and 'filth' and can say that my room was very clean and everything in the room (shower/TV etc) worked fine. For £39 a night with a full breakfast, I'll book here again the next time I'm at Worcester.
